In the Customer Value Club on August 6th, 2021, the star guest was Sini Saalasti, discussing the impact of customer value on creating a business model and generating a competitive advantage.
Alvar Pet is in the toddler stage of a startup – just a little over two years old. In that short time, the service has been launched not only in Finland but also in the German market. Alvar’s COO, Sini Saalasti, visited the Customer Value Club to share the secret behind their initial success, which, of course, is tied to customer value.
Alvar Pet is a Finnish startup with a mission to reduce dogs’ carbon pawprint. The company offers responsible solutions that are easy for customers, tailored to dogs’ needs, and of high quality – with a positive impact on the environment. In practice, each dog’s information is entered into Alvar’s system at the beginning of the customer relationship, which then provides a customized dietary recommendation based on research data. Alvar’s growing product range includes responsibly produced dog food, as well as treats and accessories.
Below, you’ll find a recording of the morning session where Sini discusses, among other things:
How Alvar’s business model is built on the foundation of customer value and how it creates a completely new competitive advantage in its market.
How does Alvar use data to create customer value?
Why and how did Alvar expand to the German market during the early stages of the company?
The recording is in Finnish.
