Friday morning guest star of Customer Value Club November 12th 2021, Chair of the Board of FiBAN – Finnish Business Angels Network, Reima Linnanvirta, discusses the ABCs of investor customer value.
Linnanvirta is an angel investor himself, with 28 companies currently in his investment portfolio. FiBAN connects angel investors and startups. The members of the network have invested over €335 million in growth-seeking companies over the past ten years. In recent years, the value of angel investments per startup has increased even further.
Startups aim for rapid, strong growth and often a successful exit. A shining example is the sale of Wolt, founded only seven years ago, to DoorDash in a €7 billion acquisition. Startups often introduce something entirely new to the market or transform the old in a way that enhances customer value. With improved customer value, customers might even be willing to pay more.
What value does an investor hold?
At ‘Asiakasarvon Rakentajat -klubi,’ Reima will share insights into investing, selecting investment targets, and investor expectations. He also has an insightful view of Finnish startups, shedding light on their sources of customer value. Reima presents intriguing perspectives on the significance of a team in a startup’s success.
In the club recording, Reima also contemplates:
- Which metrics should an investor consider when evaluating investment targets?
- What is the importance of a business plan and revenue logic?
- What value does an investor bring to a company? Where does the investment company’s competitive advantage originate?
The recording is in Finnish.
